Safety and Security

Lisa Standridge believes in standing up for the victims of crime, and not coddling perpetrators of crime as many in politics do today. Lisa stands with our police and all those involved in keeping our families safe. There is no better litmus test for local candidates in Cleveland County than to ask them what part they took in recalling the Norman City Council radicals that defunded our police just a few years ago. As for Lisa Standridge, while most candidates for Senate District 15 either did not even sign the petition or simply signed it and called it good, Lisa and her entire family worked alongside police officers and others to gather signatures, support those spending long hours in pop up tents, promoting the movement online, and going door to door to get the large number of petition signers that were needed. 

 

Lisa Standridge also believes the homeless problem in and around Norman is a significant safety issue for many in the community. Restaurants are concerned to let their employees go outside alone after dark, or even during the day, many parents are no longer comfortable letting their children roam a city park, and unsanitary and unsafe homeless encampments are popping up all over Norman. Lisa believes we should strengthen our laws so that if a homeless person will not seek the help they need and try to integrate themselves back into society, they should just move on down the road.

Deep Rooted Conservative Values

Growing up in Noble gave Lisa Standridge a strong sense of community and work ethic deeply rooted in conservative values. From an early age, Lisa learned the importance of putting others first. That upbringing inspired her to raise a family, pursue a career as a healthcare professional, earn a Doctorate from the OU College of Pharmacy, launch several businesses, and create dozens of good paying jobs for fellow hard-working Oklahomans.

Shortly after marrying her husband of now 32 years, Rob, they bought a pharmacy in Blanchard. Starting out, they barely had two nickels to rub together. For the last 29 years, Lisa and Rob have been faithfully serving Blanchard, and surrounding areas. Today, Lisa helps manage their second pharmacy in Norman which services statewide, including Noble, Norman, Moore, & OKC. She understands how to lead teams and balance large budgets.

Consistently Conservative

Lisa is a lifelong Republican and has a proven track record of standing up for conservative values. As past President of the Helen Cole Republican Women's Club, Lisa championed numerous conservative candidates and causes, including the fight to fully restore funding for Norman police. Lisa’s life experiences and steadfast dedication to her community make her a strong advocate for the people of District 15. She and Rob have been actively involved in their home church, CrossPointe, for nearly two decades and have three children. She is pro-life and pro-2nd amendment.
